Leeds City Council Bridge Team have confirmed they are working tirelessly to find a repair solution for Linton Bridge. The engineering team presented the attached slides at the community meeting held on 29th April. The slides show how the southern pier has settled causing cracking in the arch, how concrete has been placed in the river below the pier to reduce the risk of more movement and a possible support solution to allow as much of the bridge to be retained whilst repair work is on-going. You will appreciate this is innovative engineering and rigorous checks have to be completed before the repair work can be approved for construction. Leeds have reiterated their project completion date of summer 2017.
